This is not an ISC2 chapter. It is an independent initiative by ISC2 certified professionals living in Kraków, gathering names ahead of a formal application to ISC2. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, managed or controlled by ISC2, and uses no ISC2 logo or mark.

We are ISC2 credential holders in Kraków, and we want a chapter in this city.

Kraków holds the largest concentration of security, risk and engineering work in Poland outside Warsaw. Banks, market infrastructures and technology centres run real security teams here, and the universities feed them.

There is no ISC2 chapter in the city. The nearest one meets in Warsaw, roughly 290 km away, which puts a weekday evening meeting out of reach for almost everyone working in Kraków. So the people who hold the credentials have no local room to meet in, and no local route to CPEs that does not involve a train.

That is the whole argument. It is a gap of geography, not of interest.

Meet monthly
A weekday evening session hosted in turn by member employers in Kraków, with an online option. Predictable enough to plan a month around.
Teach
Sessions on what Kraków teams actually handle: DORA and NIS2 obligations, third-party risk, secure engineering. Plus a free CISSP and CC study group run by members.
Bring people in
Mentoring with the Kraków universities, and a Capture the Flag format aimed at widening who gets into the field.
Cost you nothing
No membership fees in the first year. Venues and catering come from host employers.

How chartering works

ISC2 runs this on a fixed calendar, and applications are only accepted during an open enrollment window. Here is the sequence.

  1. 1
Now — gather namesConfirm who holds a current ISC2 certification, is based in or near Kraków, and who would take an officer role.
  2. 2
Submit the applicationISC2 only accepts new chapter applications during an open enrolment window. Expected next window: January to February 2027, to be confirmed with ISC2.
  3. 3
Review and scoringISC2 checks eligibility, then a regional committee scores the application.
  4. 4
If approved — start-up meetingISC2 emails every ISC2 member in the area. We hold a meeting, elect four officers, and at least 15 certified members sign the application. Most must sign in person.
  5. 5
Chartering phase, about six monthsThree agreed activities are delivered and reported to ISC2, then the governing documents are signed.
  6. 6
Charter grantedOnly at this point does the group become an ISC2 chapter and start using the chapter name and logo.
